Median sold price in August this year was $204,900, this is down 16.37 percent from the same month last year’s median sold price of $245,000. Houses original list price was $249,900 in August 2009 and $229,900 in the same period this year. During August 2010, houses were sold for 89 percent of their original list price.

Median dollar per square foot price of these houses sold was $75.89 from $79.44 in July. Half of these sold houses were bigger than 2,835 square feet. Typically, these houses being sold in this month includes four bedrooms and three baths.

There are more houses for sale in Syracuse today with 221 listings from 216 listings last month. As of today, there are 21 under contract listings in the market of Syracuse.
